Another session ends quickly.. the past two months have been a bit of a whirlwind. My life took a quick turn on me and I jumped into this class with a little anxiety but a lot of hope. I wanted to push my limits and throw myself into photography. Looking back, I am proud of what I accomplished and feel more confident as a photographer.
The class taught me how to sell conceptual ideas in a photograph.. to realize that everything I put in the frame is saying something and it all has to work together. I really enjoyed all the brainstorming that was required for our assignments.. I was feeling creative and had a lot of fun with everything.. I put up some of my favorites from this session... enjoy!

"Grab Bag"
Our first assignment, where we choose a random object out of
a bag and have to create an interesting photograph with it.
I chose the balloon clips you see below... (it is the silhouette where the sun is)

"Food for Editorial use"...

These are some of my favorites from my "25 Strangers" assignment..
You photograph 25 strangers with the same background.
I shot this with a Mamiya 645afd on color film. I met some really great people that day... :]

"Novel Illustration"...

"Stylish Produce"...
an assignment where you have to take a california grown produce
and make a conceptual photograph that sells that produce..

"Shape"
this assignment required you tell a story
in 6 frames using silhouettes..

These shots are for fun, my personal favorites from an
assignment where we had to re-createa an
editorial spread in a magazine... (My spread was
about the difference in sound between CDs and records)

"Work Simulation"...

"Dramatic Background"...

"Character Celebrity"
an assignment where we had to replicate the photographic
style of Vanity Fair magazine.. this was my inside spread shot..

"Fashion Lifestyle"
an assignment where we have to sell clothing
using a model with a lifestyle feel..

"Still Life Clothing"...
Cool ! B]
